Outward Toward Family & Friends

I. Judea - Luke 8:39

We are to sow the seed of Jesus to our family and friends. Our seeds need to be seeds of action, action = the Love of Jesus. Be generous with the seed. 2 Corinthians 9:6 “. . . whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

II. The Value of Listening - James 1:19

Listening is one of the most important aspect of letting God’s love overflow from you to others. “Be quick to listen. . .” pay attention. Make listening a spiritual act. “Slow to speak. . .” hold off on challenging questions and editorial comments. “Slow to anger. . .” people who know your buttons will push them. When this happens be slow to anger and listen to God’s heart for that person.

III. Loving Family and Friends Toward Jesus - Matthew 5:16

Be the light and salt of the earth to your family. Let your actions stir curiosity

IV. Sharing Jesus With Those You Love - 1 Corinthians 3:6-7

Have empathy towards those you love. Remember you are not trying to win an argument your trying to win hearts. Create an atmosphere of wonder by engaging a persons imagination. Share, its not all up to you. Share in the planting, watering and harvesting.

V. Serving Wholeheartedly - Ephesians 6:7

Work down to the bone for another’s benefit. Serve your way into the hearts of others. Be sure to give God the credit.
